About

Hello, you are at ones and zeros, a Tumblelog by Shona Ghosh.

Lovingly ripping off the excellent @brainpicker, this is a digital repository of shiny things involving balloons, silent discos and/or Paul Simon where possible.

I dump a lot of this stuff on my Twitter feed.

I have a more seriousish website here.

There is an RSS feed right at the bottom of this blog, if you're interested.

(I really like Paul Simon)

Looking for something specific?

I went to the Saatchi Gallery today. This image shows the full text of Gandhi’s speech inciting a non-violent march against salt tax in 1930.
The text, sculpted from clay, iterates peaceful language but artist Jitish Kallat has chosen to recreate the speech using an alphabet shaped like human bones.
This is the first installation in a powerful, angry exhibition of modern art from the sub-continent dealing with war, reconstruction and identity.
What: The Empire Strikes Back
Where: Saatchi Gallery
When: Until 7 May 2010.
